October Highlights at Power Pilates of Waco: Milestones • Motivation • Moves of the Month

October was such a busy and beautiful month at Power Pilates of Waco, and I’m excited to share some of the highlights, milestones, and favorite moments from our studio.

Yes, yes — I know! It’s been a little while since my last post. But as a mom of three little ones (who definitely don’t take no for an answer), finding a quiet moment to write feels like a luxury. Can you relate?

Still, I couldn’t wait to sit down and celebrate YOU — our amazing clients who continue to show up and stay consistent, even when life is full. Whether you come to our Reformer Pilates classes or prefer private Pilates sessions, every hour you spend moving, breathing, and reconnecting with your body truly makes a difference.

Life gets busy, but Pilates is more than just a workout. It’s your time to slow down, focus on your form and breath, and build strength from the inside out. Our classes are designed to help you feel centered, strong, and supported , and let’s be honest, we have a lot of fun too.

1. Milestones That Inspire

100 Classes and Beyond

This month, we were proud to highlight and celebrate Dawn, Sarah, Samantha, Franny, Charlotte, and Susan – each of them has completed over 100 Pilates Reformer classes at Power Pilates of Waco!

That’s a lot of dedication — showing up two to three times a week, staying consistent, and making wellness a true priority. This is where real change happens — in commitment, not perfection.

Congratulations to each of you, and a big round of applause from our entire Power Pilates of Waco Team!

The 50 and 30-Class Breakthrough

Summer reached 50 classes and Sofia , Carlee and Valerie reached 30 classes this month — a big step in every client’s journey.

This is the moment when you start to feel the difference: stronger core, better posture, and more energy during the day. Pilates starts to feel more natural, and the body begins to move with more control and ease.

Keep going — this stage is where transformation really begins.

First 10 Classes — The Beginning of a New Chapter

To everyone who finished your first 10 Group Pilates Reformer sessions, we are so proud of you!

Starting something new is never easy, but you did it. You are learning how to move with control, breathe with intention, and connect with your body.

Every class from now on will build more strength and confidence. This is just the beginning of your Pilates story. Now comes the hardest part — staying consistent, showing up even on the days when it’s not easy. That’s where real progress begins.

2. Moves of the Month

We’ve started a new tradition at Power Pilates of Waco — each week, we highlight one classical Pilates exercise and explore it in depth.

Because Pilates is not just a workout — it’s a lifestyle. It’s movement with intention. You can copy a Pilates move, but if you don’t understand why we do it a certain way or the principles behind it, it’s just another exercise. True Pilates comes from mindful movement — from understanding how your body connects, aligns, and supports itself. That’s what makes Pilates different from just “hitting the gym.”

Our goal is to help your movement create freedom — in your joints, in your posture, and in the way you feel every day. We want your muscles to get stronger, not tighter. If you leave a class extremely sore, that probably wasn’t Pilates. (Check my previous Blog post “Why Not Every Reformer class is a Pilates class” where I talk about how to identify true Pilates studio).

Real Pilates builds strength gradually, balancing effort with control. Transformation happens through your whole body — not by pushing it too far, but by teaching it to move better.

This month, we revisited several classical Pilates fundamentals:

Roll Down – understanding the basics of spine articulation

The Hundred – learning how breath connects to core activation

Short Spine Massage – releasing spinal tension while building core strength

Feet in Straps – improving hip mobility and relieving lower back tension

Side Bend – challenging pelvic stability and strengthening the obliques

Climbing a Tree – developing hips and hamstrings flexibility and core strength

Each of these movements reminds us that Pilates is a lifelong practice — one that builds awareness, strength, and freedom of movement, class after class.

Thank you for the wonderful month!

Every milestone, every new movement, and every smile you bring into class reminds us why we love what we do.

To our Power Pilates of Waco community — thank you for your trust, your consistency, and the energy you bring into the studio. You make this such a special place to move, learn, and grow together.

Whether this was your first month or your hundredth class, remember — you belong here, and we want you to always feel that way.

As we move into November, we’re excited for our Thanksgiving celebrations, Black Friday giveaways, and even more fun, challenging, and uplifting Pilates classes ahead.
